What are the best new cars to lookout for in 2015?

The UK's car industry has improved significantly over the last few years and now there are more vehicles being sold than ever before. As such, manufacturers are being bold and braving the market with upgrades and new models for which to attract new buyers to their brand.

2015 has been and will continue to be a great year for the automotive industry and here we'll provide you with some of the top releases to keep an eye out for. Remember, you don't always need to buy your next car; A decent lease deal will help you save money and ensures you're at the wheel of a new model every few years.

Fiat 500x

The Fiat 500x has become a huge success in the UK and now the range has been further improved with the introduction of the 500X. Whilst this 2015 upgrade does resemble the original 500 in terms of style, it's completely different in all other departments.

Start with the size and you'll find the Fiat 500X is longer, wider and taller. The engine has also been given a boost, with a nine-speed auto gearbox and the option of a two or four-wheel drive.

Alfa Romeo Giulia

Alfa Romeo has struggled in recent years when it comes to sales, with only 5,523 sold in the whole of 2014. This is the same as Peugeot ships out in a relatively quiet month. The Giulia is expected to completely change this, with an entry into the junior executive class that's sure to rival the BMW 3 Series. What can you expect from the Giulia? An efficient diesel engine, strong performance and superb appeal.

Audi R8

The success of the Audi R8 probably surprised even bosses at the German brand, but this very impressive vehicle has been incredibly popular and this year we'll see an updated version hit the streets.

With the Audi R8 you'll hit 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds, with a top speed at a staggering 205mph. It's not just power that'll persuade you to try this vehicle out either and a carbon fibre chassis ensures handling is lighter and sharper than ever before.

BMW 3 Series

We've already mentioned the 3 Series in brief because of the Giulia's upgraded version emerging in 2015, but BMW are also rolling out the upgrades. With the executive model's 2015 version there aren't wholesale changes; but notable enough to give you food for thought.

What has improved? Well, amongst other things you can take advantage of a boost in efficiency thanks to its three-cylinder turbo engine. There's also a petrol hybrid available, boasting 50g/km CO2 emissions and the interior has received a refresh too.

Honda Civic Type R

The Honda Civic has been a truly successful model, undergoing mass transformation over the last 15 years or so. The 2015 release of the Civic Type R will burst from 0-62mph in just 5.7 seconds, whilst steering has been phenomenally improved too.

There are two versions of the Type R being made available, with the better GT model including a range of great tech such as climate control, parking sensors and lane departure warning signals.
